Jam Factory ramps up for 2008 Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show

February 2008. Early in March the Bermuda Jam Factory will be taking its full lineup of sweet heat jams at the 20th Annual National Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show from 29th February to 2nd March, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. 

The jam guys will be showcasing Easy Breeze, their first place winner in the 2008 Sweet Heat - Jam and Jellies category. This marks the second year running that the Bermuda Jam Factory has attended the event.

First place Scovie award for Bermuda Jam Factory!

January 2008. The Bermuda Jam Factory has won a coveted 2008 Scovie for it's spicy sweet 'Easy Breeze' pepper jam. This marks the second Scovie win for the jam guys. The International Scovie Awards recognize top fiery foods products from around the globe.  

Easy Breeze placed 1st overall in the competition’s Sweet Heat – Jams and Jellies category. In the industry’s most rigorous blind tastings, a panel of the country’s top culinary experts sampled hundreds of the world’s most lauded gourmet foods, and the top scoring products each won the coveted Scovie. Over 700 products from around the world competed for top honors.  

The win marks the second year that the Bermuda Jam Factory product has won a Scovie award.


Online orders coming soon!

January 2008. Bermuda Jam Factory is focused on getting an online ordering system up and running. Online ordering will be designed to raise access to Bermuda Jam Factory products for North Americans; while also allowing Bermuda residents to order and have gifts delivered to anyone living in the US. International trade show on the bill

February 2007. In early March the Bermuda Jam Factory will be participating in its first ever international food show —the 19th Annual National Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show, March 2-4, 2007 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. 

The show comes on then heels of a Scovie award for the Bermuda Jam Factory for its product Storm Surge, which placed 2nd in the Sweet Heat – Jams and Jellies category. The Scovie awards are one of the world’s most competitive gourmet food competitions. Top fiery foods products from around the globe are recognized.

In Albuquerque the Jam Guys will be showcasing their products along side other Scovie award winners and thousands of other products, available to both trade buyers, brokers and consumers.


Sunday taste testing at Dockyard’s Craft Market  

January 2007. This year the Bermuda Jam Factory will be at the Craft Market in Dockyard every week on Sunday afternoons. Throughout the winter the Craft Market features sampling of local Bermuda food products every Sunday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

And when it comes to the Jam factory, you’re in for a special treat. There’s always one of the Jam Guys around so you can chat while you taste. Hear all about the story of the Bermuda Jam Factory and the creation of a new Bermuda tradition first hand!

November 2006. The Bermuda Jam Factory has won a coveted 2007 Scovie award, which recognizes top fiery foods products from around the globe. The Bermuda Jam Factory was selected as a winner in one of the world’s most competitive gourmet food competitions. 

In the industry’s most rigorous blind tastings, a panel of the country’s top culinary experts sampled hundreds of the world’s most lauded gourmet foods, and the top scoring products each won a coveted Scovie banner. 

Bermuda Jam Factory’s product, Storm Surge, placed 2nd overall in the competition’s Sweet heat – Jams and Jellies category. Over 700 products from around the world competed for top honors. The Scovie Awards were created by Dave DeWitt, editor of Fiery-Foods & BBQ Magazine and founder of the National Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show. The awards are named for Wilbur Scoville who pioneered a rating scale for spicy foods and have become the industry standard for excellence in more than 60 categories of fiery foods.


Christmas jam coming soon

November 2006. The Bermuda Jam Factory's special holiday jam, Christmas Breeze, will soon be available.  This popular Christmas-spiced creation has been so successful that the Jam Guys will be producing more than even before this year. Visit the weekly City Market which began on 18 November or Late Night Shopping on Reid Street after 1st December to taste test before you buy. But don't wait too long. Get yours before it disappears again.


City Market and Late Night Shopping starts up

November 2006. The Jam Guys will be out in full force to support both this year season's new Bull's Head City Market as well as Late Night Shopping in Hamilton. This year's new and improved City Market, began on 18 November with Late Night Shopping for early birds kicking in on Friday 24 November.

The Bermuda Jam Factory will participate in both markets highlighting their unique products by offering taste testing to prospective buyers and enthusiasts, alike. Don't miss out no visiting the Jam Guys. IN addition to their great tastes, they've got the personalities and fun to match
